We are making a film! Our cast and crew call went very well recently and we are just finalising casting before putting together a shooting schedule. This will be completed by early July in time for it’s premiere at the Walthamstow Garden Party. The new Stow Film Lounge film is inspired by the Children’s Film Foundation creative output and will feature Waltham Forest children, as both cast and crew, as well as being filmed entirely on location within the Borough. We will be revealing more details over the next month or so to keep you updated on our progress.
————————————————————

Once again we will attending the Walthamstow Garden Party and creating our pop-up cinema for the duration of the weekend. This year we will be in the Acanthus Room on the top floor in the William Morris Gallery itself. Called “Kids On Film”, our weekend programme will feature:
* A static exhibition telling the story of Kids On Film
* Films made by the Children’s Film Foundation (CFF) studios
* A Stow Film Lounge documentary called “The Kids Were Alright” celebrating the work of the CFF
* A documentary called “In Our Hands” about sustainable food production plus a post-film Q&A with the filmmakers and Organiclea staff
* The premiere of a new Stow Film Lounge film plus a post-film Q&A with the cast and crew

More details regarding programme timings will be released soon to help you plan your WGP visit.

Nick’s latest appearance on BBC London 94.9FM was on Saturday 19th May. His regular slot is always on air at 08.45 discussing a latest cinema and DVD release, as well as our next SFL screenings. It is always fun and as well as my choices there is chat about anything else that comes up. I struggle sometime to keep Jo off her favourite subject – dogs! All his appearances can be heard – HERE (http://www.stowfilmlounge.com/press-pr/)
