Saturday 9th March
Stow Film Lounge @ Gnome House, 7 Blackhorse Lane, Walthamstow, London E17 6DS at 7.45pm (Doors)
Stow Film Lounge is absolutely delighted to be returning to Gnome House to bring you our award-winning mobile cinema in another exciting venue. We continue this year with the follow up to the award-winning IDA back in 2013 and is an equally masterful piece of filmmaking in our view.
The film is a passionate love story between a man and a woman who meet in the ruins of post-war Poland. With vastly different backgrounds and temperaments, they are fatefully mismatched and yet condemned to each other. Set against the background of the Cold War in 1950s Poland, Berlin, Yugoslavia and Paris, it’s the tale of a couple separated by politics, character flaws and unfortunate twists of fate – an impossible love story in impossible times.
There will be a licensed bar. We will be serving freshly made popcorn, hotdogs and ice-creams.
12″ Meat (Holy Pepperoni) or Veggie (Margherita) pizzas from Yard Sale Pizza can be pre-ordered by 1pm on the Thursday before the day of the event and will be delivered fresh to the site for you to enjoy with the film.
