At our Kids’ Film Lounge we have a choice of freshly-made sweet and salty popcorn, organic hot dogs, veggie dogs and delicious Beechdean ice-creams.
At our Kids’s Film Lounge we have organic apple and apple & cherry drinks for the little ones and freshly brewed organic fairtrade coffee, fairtrade tea and herbal teas.
All the venues we currently use are fully accessible for those with physical disabilities. Please do contact us directly if you have any further questions about this in relation to your particular needs. We do welcome carers with a cinema pass.
We use Billetto for online bookings (links in listings), BACS for children’s parties (contact us directly) and cash/cards for on the door tickets and refreshment purchases.
The nearest underground is Walthamstow Central (Victoria Line) and main interchange bus station. The two overground stations are Walthamstow Central (Liverpool St Station is 17 mins) and Walthamstow Queen’s Road (Barking to Gospel Oak Line).
We pop up in different venues both indoors and outdoors throughout the year. The two venues we currently use regularly are CentrE17, 1 Church Hill, Walthamstow E17 3AB and Mirth, Marvel & Maud (former Granada cinema), 186 Hoe St, Walthamstow E17 4QH.
Nick started his own mobile entertainment company over 25 years ago and also worked as a DJ for a range of party planning companies. He subsequently trained and worked as an actor performing in theatre-in-education, television and theatre. It was during his work at the BFI’s Museum Of The Moving Image (MOMI) that he met fellow actor/guide Marcus Shepherd. More recently his entrepreneurial and events background have created Stow Film Lounge and resulted in it winning Waltham Forest’s 2012 small business award only a year after start-up. Marcus started his career in the theatre, he worked at MOMI as an actor before moving into production at Gorgeous Films assisting top commercial director Chris Palmer. He’s directed and produced at Sky TV on shows like Barry Norman’s Film Night filming talent like Sir Michael Caine, Robert De Niro, Woody Allen, Martin Scorsese, Traci Lords and Dame Judi Dench. He’s worked in places like the Oscars in Hollywood, on a transatlantic Concorde flight, up a tower crane and at 10 Downing St filming the prime minister.
