STOW FILM LOUNGE @ CENTRE 17, No1 CHURCH HILL, WALTHAMSTOW E17 3AB. We are always on the look out for new and innovative films to bring you and LONDON SYMPHONY is no exception. A brand new silent film – a city symphony – which offers a poetic journey through the capital. It is an artistic snapshot of London as it stands today, and a celebration of its rich diversity of culture, architecture and religion. It was nominated for the Michael Powell Award for Best British Film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival 2017.
In addition to the screening, we are delighted that Alex Barrett, Director, will join us for a post screening Q&A, together with Pam Hutchinson, a freelance journalist who blogs about silent cinema and writes regularly for Sight & Sound and the Guardian.
