Come and join us for this very special festive event with this delightful new British comedy with an all star cast.
Aubrey Flint navigates family relationships and unexpected love during the holiday season, as magical moments unfold and bring everyone closer together.
Aubrey Flint is a meticulous, solitary translator and model soldier painter living in York, to whom Christmas is less a season of joy than an annual invasion. Haunted by the loss of his mother on Christmas morning when he was a child, Aubrey has built a careful life around routine, history books and a miniature Napoleonic army that asks nothing of him beyond the occasional fresh coat of paint.
After an encounter with the festive world outside his flat lands him in trouble, Aubrey is sentenced to community service at Willow Lodge, a retirement home fighting to survive. There he meets the energetic and eccentric cast of characters that call Willow Lodge home, and he is reluctantly drawn into helping them stage an amateur production of A Christmas Carol.
As rehearsals spiral into comic chaos and the threat to Willow Lodge grows more urgent, Aubrey must decide whether to retreat again into his private world, or risk opening himself up to the messy, magical possibility of Christmas.
Venue: St Mary’s Church, 8 Church End, Walthamstow, London E17 9RJ
Doors: Open 7.15pm, Film 7.45pm, Close 9.30pm
Refreshments: A fully licensed bar and popcorn
