The BIG PICUTRE with STOW FILM LOUNGE

We proudly present a special outdoor screening of Mike Leigh’s much-loved comedy classic NUTS IN MAY on Sat 4th May.

When urbanite husband and wife Keith Pratt (Roger Sloman) and Candice Marie (Alison Steadman) go camping in Dorset they’re hoping to find harmony in the countryside but their peaceful plans are disrupted by the presence of other campers.

This early Mike Leigh masterpiece features the fantastic characters and memorable moments that he’s renowned for, and with so many fans we are delighted to announce that Roger Sloman and Alison Steadman will be reunited once again to take part in a special post-film Q&A - and possibly a few songs!

Join us to celebrate Mayday at Waltham Forest's Fellowship Square with Keith and Candice Marie where there will be on-site refreshments, Pillars brewery, music and pre-film entertainment for this sustainable cinema event. So bring your picnic blankets, cushions or camping chairs to enjoy the great British outdoors with this rarely screened gem on our inflatable super screen in the superb surroundings of the Town Hall.

In the spirit and indomitable style of Keith and Candice Marie, the audience is encouraged to wear jumpers, legwarmers, flat caps and bobble hats!
